One of the first things we learned to make was meringue. The cool thing about meringue is that you are able to practice your piping and if you don't like it you can scrape it off the tray and try again!
The picture to the left are the meringues baked and finished with crushed almonds.
The picture to the right is another delicious treat that we made the first week in the kitchen! They are cream puffs, also known as Pate a Choux. This was the first time I made caramel like this. Unfortunately i burnt the sugar the first time...oops! I was able to start over and make it better!
